Fuse box diagram (fuse layout), location, and assignment of fuses for Jeep Renegade (2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023).
Checking and Replacing Fuses
The fuses protect electrical systems against excessive current. When a device does not work, you must check the fuse element inside the blade fuse for a break/melt.
Look at the silver-colored band inside the fuse. If the band is broken or melted, replace the fuse. Check those fuses first that protect the failed component, but check all the fuses before deciding that a blown fuse is not the cause. Replace any blown fuses with another with the same amperage (same color) and check the component’s operation. To replace a fuse use the extractor attached to the fuse cover (located on the inside of the engine compartment fuse cover.
The fuses are grouped into four controllers located in the engine compartment, under the instrument panel and on the inside of the left side cargo trim panel.
WARNING!
- Before replacing a fuse, make sure that the ignition is off and that all the other services are switched off and/or disengaged.
- When replacing a blown fuse, always use an appropriate replacement fuse with the same amp rating as the original fuse. Never replace a fuse with another fuse of higher amp rating. Never replace a blown fuse with metal wires or any other material. Failure to use proper fuses may result in serious personal injury, fire and/or property damage.
- If the replaced fuse blows again, contact an authorized dealer.
- If a general protection fuse for safety systems (air bag system, braking system), power unit systems (engine system, gearbox system) or steering system blows, contact an authorized dealer.
